Parimatch clients hit by sanctions against the company

The National Security Council’s decision to impose sanctions against Parimatch in Ukraine affected the company’s customers. The management of the bookmaker company reports that UAH 250 million was blocked on the company accounts and customers found themselves unable to conduct financial transactions.

Maxim Liashko, CEO of Parimatch, stresses that the restrictions imposed were felt by customers especially during the night, when bank withdrawals were blocked. He also notes the process of severing relations between the company and banks, especially state-owned ones, has begun, increasing pressure on Parimatch’s operational activities in Ukraine.

Natalia Hilevich, CEO of Parimatch Ukraine, confirmed that the sanctions affected tens of thousands of customers, stressing the scale of the problem and its impact on the company’s reputation.

The decree (145/2023) of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy dated March 10, 2023  put into effect the National Security Council’s decision on sanctions against 120 individuals and 287 legal entities, including Parimatch. The 50-year measures cover a wide range of restrictions, including asset freezing, trade restrictions and a ban on capital out of the country.

Parimatch is seeking solutions to the current situation, interacting with clients and exploring different strategies to minimize the negative impact of the sanctions. The company strives to restore full functionality of its services, making efforts to find legal and operational solutions that will facilitate the situation of its users within the framework of the current Ukrainian legislation.
